Food & Hotel China (FHC) 2019 °ÄÃÅ¶ÄÇ®Íø Business Programme
is the leading tradeshow for international companies introducing their food and drink products to the China market. UK companies have a track record over the years of using this platform to successfully enter and expand in China.
°ÄÃÅ¶ÄÇ®Íø has worked in partnership with the FDEA and DIT to support these success stories, and this year we are offering an exciting programme of content and buyers activities to support UK companies attending the show. The show runs from the 12th to the 14th of November at the Shanghai New International Expo (SNIEC), however related activities will take place over the surrounding week.
The China FHC Food and Drink Week will include two °ÄÃÅ¶ÄÇ®Íø events: a China Retail Familiarisation programme and a Meet the China Buyer match-making event. Across an action-packed two days, UK businesses will be guided through visits to four leading retail stores in China by °ÄÃÅ¶ÄÇ®Íø representatives, and meet with 20 buyers from across the food and drink industry in central Shanghai. The programme is open to all UK companies exhibiting or visiting the show that week.
Day One – Monday 11th November 2019
China Retail Familiarisation
- Time: 13:00-18:30
- Activity: Store visits
- Location: four leading retail stores in central Shanghai (transportation arranged by °ÄÃÅ¶ÄÇ®Íø).Pick up will take place at °ÄÃÅ¶ÄÇ®Íø’s Shanghai office (British Centre, 1708 Garden Square, 968 West Beijing Road).
Join us on a half-day guided store visit to some of the most established retailers in Shanghai. You will be able to feel the pulse of China’s retail scene and see how your competitors’ products are selling on Shanghai’s shelves. You will also meet with the purchasing teams of the retailers visited. °ÄÃÅ¶ÄÇ®Íø’s food & drink team will accompany you during the trip and provide advice and guidance throughout.
Day Two – Friday 15th November 2019
Meet the China Buyer
- Time: 9:00-12:00
- Activity: individual match-making sessions
- Location: Central Shanghai (location TBC)
In order to maximise opportunities for UK brands participating in the show, °ÄÃÅ¶ÄÇ®Íø will organise a half-day ‘Meet the China Buyer’ programme. °ÄÃÅ¶ÄÇ®Íø will invite 20 qualified buyers specialising in snacks, health foods, confectionery, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, dairy products, and frozen products to meet with UK brands: amongst these will be direct buyers, importers/distributors, retailers and E-commerce platforms. °ÄÃÅ¶ÄÇ®Íø’s food & drink team will provide on-site and follow-up support to ensure the best possible outcome for attendees.
