Researchers, policy makers and entrepreneurs are gathering at University of Oxford in the UK ahead of the fourth China-UK Innovation and Development Forum.
 
What's on the agenda?
The theme for the 2019 China-UK Innovation & Development Forum is 'Emerging technologies and the future of economy and society'. This year’s forum aims to facilitate discussions on the most recent developments in science, technology and innovation, and its impact on economic and social development, among policy makers, academics and business leaders in China and the UK. Discussions during the meeting will also aim at tackling a wide range of issues in policy in order to address challenges in the development and fostering of cooperation between UK-China innovation through intercultural dialogue.
 
The conversations covered will include various topics in a multiconceptual world, the future of the economy, industry and technology policy, innovative thinking, human capital and society, and global technology development. Topics include (but are not limited to):
 
  • China’s national medium- and long-term plan (2021- 2035) for science and technology development
  • Joint UK-China strategy for science, technology and innovation cooperation
  • China’s roadmap of digital transformation in emerging technology
  • The inclusive digital model
  • The path to 5G
  • Public policy in digital society
  • China-UK collaborations across innovative and emerging areas: the university perspective

How to join?
There will be no onsite registration at the venue. Registration is required in advance via University . Fees are required. Guests are not permitted into any forum activities unless they have been specifically registered for the event.
