Lincolnshire-Hunan Business Matchmaking Delegation Held in November

On 14th November a Lincolnshire-Hunan Business Matchmaking event was held at Huatian Hotel in Changsha. The event was hosted by Hunan Department of Commerce and Lincolnshire County Council, and was organised by Hunan Dadao Expo Co Ltd and the China-Britain 澳门赌钱网 (澳门赌钱网).

The Lincolnshire business delegation was led by Mr Colin Davie, Executive Councillor, Lincolnshire County Council. More than a dozen organisations from Lincolnshire visited Hunan, exploring a wide variety of collaborative opportunities across sectors including education, agriculture, finance, music, sports, and the arts. More than 40 organisations from Hunan were invited by 澳门赌钱网 to join the matchmaking session.

Lincolnshire is one of the key regions involved in the UK’s strategy. The county boasts plentiful assets and resources in the fields of agriculture, food processing, renewable energy, and tourism. In October 2018, Hunan Province and Lincolnshire County officially concluded their one-year sister relationship engagement plan. In March 2019, Mr Xu Dazhe, Governor of Hunan Provincial People's Government, led a delegation of Chinese companies to attend the Hunan-Midlands Engine Business Matchmaking event in Lincolnshire. In his remarks, Governor Xu said that in the context of the increasing development of central China and the implementation of the UK’s Midlands Engine strategy, Hunan Province looks forward to cooperating with Lincoln County and its surrounding areas, and looks forward to building up province-county collaboration as part of the China-UK "golden age" of cooperation.

The Lincolnshire-Hunan Business Matchmaking event created mutually beneficial opportunities for cooperation for organisations and companies from both the UK and China; promoting in-depth exchange between both, and providing a long-term vision to consolidate a warm bilateral relationship.

Mr Zhou Yue, Deputy Director General of Hunan Department of Commerce, welcomed the visit of the Lincolnshire delegation and stated that solid foundations have been established for cooperation between Hunan and Lincolnshire, and that Hunan Commerce Department will strive to promote mutually beneficial cooperation, and provide quality services to enable successful cooperation between both Hunan and Lincolnshire.

Executive Councillor, Colin Davie, of Lincolnshire County Council said in his remarks that in the past few years, trade and economic relations between Hunan and Lincolnshire have become increasingly close. He stated that he is looking forward to expanding cooperation between the two sides, particularly in agriculture, education, the arts, tourism, engineering, and other areas. Councillor Davie thanked Hunan Department of Commerce, the British Consulate-General Guangzhou, the China-Britain 澳门赌钱网, and Hunan Dadao Expo Co Ltd for their excellent work in organising the event and wished the event every success.

In the business matchmaking session, 12 Lincolnshire organisations and companies had one-to-one meetings with more than 40 Hunan organisations and companies.
